We supply a range of MDF and Chipboard panels. The majority of our stock consists of MFC (Melamine Faced Chipboard) which is mainly used for Shopfitting.

We hold a large stock of our most popular panels and can offer competitive delivery times on any type or size panel that you require.

Effjey is a Shopfitting manufacturing company, based in Wickford and has the ability to supply you with all your Shopfitting needs!

All boards are available in a range of colours, sizes and thicknesses. They can be melamined on 1, 2 or all faces as required. We can offer a variety of panels, but recommend the fire retardant panels for most uses. Please see below information on the Fire Retardant boards.

Flame spread is the rate at which flames travel along the surface of a given material. This rate varies from one material to another. The degree of flame spread can be subdivided into four classes:
- Class 1 (M1) - No flame spread.
- Class 2 (M2) - Slight flame spread.
- Class 3 (M3) - Average flame spread.
- Class 4 (M4) - High flame spread.

More Information on MDF & Chipboard

Medium density fibreboard, or MDF, is a composite wood product similar to particleboard. It's made out of wood waste fibres' glued together with resin, heat, and pressure. MDF is appropriate for many applications, from cabinetry to moulding, because it is smooth, uniform, and won't warp

Chipboard is made by bonding together wood particles with an adhesive under heat and pressure to form a rigid board with a fairly smooth surface. Chipboard is available in a number of densities; normal, medium and high-density. Normal density is fairly soft and 'flaky', high-density is very solid and hard (often used for worktops and fire doors) - medium density is somewhere in between.
